How to write a simple, sincere thank you note

If you recently got married, had a baby, or celebrated a birthday, chances are good that your good fortune was recognized by friends and family with gifts. Show your gratefulness and recognize that generosity with a thank you note.
“It doesn’t have to be long,” said Sandra Hyde, president and founder of the Etiquette School of Ohio in Dayton and a graduate of the American School of Protocol in Atlanta. “It can be as short as two or three sentences.”
The elements of a good thank you note are fairly basic, Hyde said.
