April 4: Night Of The Stars Gala
The Hague, April 4
Tonight the annual "Night of the Stars Gala Dinner" of the Holland America Friendship Foundation was held in the recently opened Louwman Automobile Museum in The Hague. The Night of the Stars was founded by the former ambassador of the United States in the Netherlands, Clifford M. Sobel and his wife Barbara Sobel to support educational and cultural exchange programs between the United States and the Netherlands. And the Night of the Stars celebrates the unique bond that exists between the Netherlands and the United States of America.
The beneficiaries of the Holland America Friendship Foundation are: The Fulbright Program, the John Adams Institute, Humanity in Action Netherlands’s Program, the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute (FERI) and the International Holland Music Session.
The evening featured a reception, followed by an entertainment program in the teatre of the museum and a dinner in the main hall. Fourteen ushers of the Protocolbureau assisted during the evening with welcoming and seating of the 350 guests from political, cultural, social and corporate life from both countries.
